Top Reasons Not to Build a Paintball GunPaintball has become a hobby and even a passion for many people. Weekend warriors can gather a team for a quick round, or play individually against other enthusiasts. The equipment required can get expensive and the basics include safety goggles, the appropriate clothes, and of course a paintball gun and ammo. Though packages of those little paintballs can add up, the most expensive part of the initial investment would be the paintball gun.
Some enthusiasts might say build your own paintball gun, but there are many reasons why it’s a bad idea to build a paintball gun. To begin with, the proper materials can be difficult to locate and there’s no reason to invest your time to build a paintball gun out of junk or scrap material. There’s also no reason to search endlessly for plans that are not likely to yield useful results. Not when there are plenty of models in varied price ranges available for retail. Accuracy is a big reason to buy rather than build a paintball gun. The trajectory and velocity of the paintball is such that accuracy is important. To build a paintball gun would mean giving up the accuracy you get from a closely calibrated, machine-manufactured model. In the long run, you will experience less frustration when playing a paintball game if your shots hit your mark more often than they miss. To get the most out your paintball experience, don’t waste your time trying to build a paintball gun, but rather spend it on the paintball battlefield and leave the frustration of trying to build a paintball gun to the manufacturer. |
